Windows Live Family Safety web filtering will allow customers to choose allow, block or warn settings for a range of content categories, and unique settings can be applied for each member of the household.

Parents will be able to access activity reports for each user in the family, anytime from any Internet-connected PC, to help them stay informed about how their children are browsing the Web. You can block My Space, or block websites with adult content, as well as anonymous websites and even email addresses and contacts from Windows Live Messenger.

Windows Live Family Safety features three types of filters: Strict, Basic and Custom.

In order to use Windows Live Family Safety you need a Windows Live ID. Once you obtained it, you can sign up as a “Parent” and choose which content can be accessed by your children with their Live accounts.

In addition, Microsoft provides an activity log so you can thoroughly view which websites have been visited by your children.

Windows Live Family Safety will keep your children safe and protected from inadequate internet content.
